OiOi Diaper Bag

To tell you the truth, I almost decided not to buy the OiOi Giraffe Tote Diaper Bag. I thought it was a bit expensive. I wasn’t keen on plunking down more than a hundred dollars on an OiOi diaper bag.

But my sister, who wouldn’t be caught dead holding a diaper bag decorated with bunnies, insisted on it and promised that I would never regret buying an OiOi Diaper Bag.

And what do you know? She was right!

I love it. The design is beautiful, but that is not all…

The tote handles are long enough so I can sling the bag on my shoulder, but it also comes with a long adjustable nylon web shoulder strap with dog clip ends. This gives me the option to sling the diaper bag with the longer strap across by chest. It also has fixed straps that I can loop on the stroller handles. I’m glad the stroller straps are fixed because that way I won’t lose them.

The base of the OiOi Diaper Bag has protective metal feet. And I like it that the diaper bag doesn’t lose its shape or collapse on itself when I put it down. That makes it easier to look around for stuff with one hand while I hold the baby with the other hand.

I’ve always been the practical one, so I’m glad that the poly canvas exterior is water resistant and easy to clean. There are enough pockets inside and outside so you can really get organized. Inside are three elasticized pockets plus a zippered pocket. I keep my wallet and other stuff in one inside pocket and use the rest for my baby’s needs. My cell phone goes in an exterior pocket with magnetic closure. This means I don’t have to carry another bag to hold my things.

You may think I’m crazy but I just love the little key clip inside the main compartment. Such a tiny thing but so convenient. Now I don’t go nuts looking for my keys.

The main compartment is just the right size for diapers, wipes and extra clothes. The diaper bag comes with a hard PVC wipes case, padded change mat and a PVC zip top wet/mess bag. It also has an insulated bottle holder.

What Do I Really Think About The OiOi Giraffe Tote Diaper Bag?

I absolutely love it.

Did I mention that I like to keep things organized? Well, this diaper bag is so well designed the only way to get baby’s stuff all cluttered inside is if you try really, really hard. And the top opens really wide for easy access.

I can’t get over the fact that it does not look anything like a diaper bag. It’s stylish yet practical, and the size is just right for me. There’s lots of room inside for diapers, extra clothes, wipes, toys, bottles, and even a baby blanket.

What I like most about the OiOi Giraffe Tote diaper bag is that it doesn’t look like one. It looks more like a stylish designer bag. I absolutely love the cocoa and white giraffe print. And the contrasting orange lining looks awesome! It comes with natural cotton weave double handle web straps trimmed with faux leather.

Apart from its designer looks, the diaper bag is made of quality material and is well constructed. It’s really a heavy duty bag that I expect to last for years. It’s surprisingly roomy inside and the pockets make it easy to organize baby’s stuff.

It’s also nice that I can carry it as a tote or shoulder bag, not to mention being a stroller bag as well.

The OiOi Giraffe Tote Diaper Bag is perfect for everyday use and for a day out with my baby. This cute diaper bag can even be used as a carry on when traveling.

What Can Be Improved

A slightly bigger changing mat would have been better, although the one that comes with the bag is really fine. Also, some mothers may find the diaper bag a bit heavy and bulky for daily use. But this could be because of the sturdy construction of the bag itself. So you really can’t have it both ways. Either it’s sturdy and a bit heavy, or it’s light and flimsy. Take your pick.

Like me, quite a number of people found the OiOi Giraffe Tote to be expensive. But like me, they also say they’re happy with their OiOi diaper bag.

My Recommendation

If you are looking for something stylish and trendy in a diaper bag, you will definitely love the OiOi Giraffe Tote diaper bag. It can hold everything your baby needs for a whole day outing. Diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, feeding bottles, drinks, toys, etc. will all fit nicely in the bag.

I can tell you this. My initial impression was that this diaper bag is way too expensive. But after using it and seeing all the admiring looks from other moms, I’m glad my sister talked me into getting one.
